Welcome to the Healthy Caribbean Coalition The Healthy Caribbean Coalition is a civil society alliance to combat chronic diseases. The alliance was established following a Caribbean civil society led conference on chronic diseases, entitled Healthy Caribbean 2008 – a wellness revolution conference.
It directly reflects the expressed conviction by Heads of Government of CARICOM that "the burdens of NCDs can be reduced by comprehensive and integrated preventive and control strategies to the individual, family, community, national and regional levels and through collaborative programmes , partnerships and policies supported by governments , private sectors, NGOs and out other social, regional and international partners.”
The Healthy Caribbean coalition has as its primary focus the harnessing of the power of civil society in partnership with government, private enterprise, academia, and international partners, to develop and implement a plan for the prevention and management of CNCDs in the Caribbean.
