    We begin at Lords, where the opening test between West Indies and England is underway. Earlier this morning the home side won the toss and sent Darren Sammy’s side into bat. Moments ago they had progressed to 13 without loss the regional side suffered a setback before the start of the game, when Ravi Rampaul was ruled out of the match.

    The West Indies has broken its silence on Chris Gayle's pending return to the regional team, saying they are pleased" the batsman had made himself available to play. Gayle announced last week he would pull out of his contract with English county Somerset in order to make himself available for the limited overs phase of West Indies' tour of England, and in "all forms of cricket" in the future.
