Further word on Raul Garcia expected today

Attorney for Cuban Raul Garcia, David Commissiong, says he will be attempting to contact the Prime Minister today, following yesterday’s cabinet meeting.

Mr Commissiong had stated earlier this week that he had met with the Prime Minister, who had promised to have Garcia moved from Dodds to a non-punitive facility.

Speaking with Starcom Network News yesterday, Mr Commissiong said he assumes the Prime Minister would have discussed the matter with the cabinet on Thursday.
