Rihanna wins another award

Barbadian pop star Rihanna has picked up the best international female honour at the Brit awards which were held in London last night.

Rihanna beat off tough competition in the category from Beyonce, Bjork, Feist and Lady Gaga.

British sensation Adele took home two prizes at this year's ceremony. The star added the Brits for best British female and British album to the six Grammy Awards she won last weekend.

Adele has become one of the world's most popular singers after her album ‘21’ sold 12.5 million copies around the world.

Meanwhile, Coldplay were crowned best British group for a record third time.

The event also included heartfelt tributes to stars Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse.
