St. Vincent cabinet reshufle

After weeks of speculation Prime Minister of St Vincent and the Grenadines Dr Ralph Gonsalves announced a reshuffle of his Cabinet yesterday, exactly 14 months after his Unity labour Party was re-elected to a third consecutive term in office.

Some of the notable reassignments, which will take effect next Monday, include Minister of Housing Clayton Burgin, moving to the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment while Cecil McKie is reassigned to the Ministry of Tourism, Sports and Culture.

Saboto Caesar becomes Minister of Agriculture, Industry, Forestry, Fisheries and Rural Transformation, replacing Montgomery Daniel as he is reassigned to the Ministry of Housing, Lands and Surveys and Physical Planning.

Senator Elvis Charles will have special responsibility for sports and culture as he becomes Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism.
