CFU trying to rebuild tarnished image
January 17, 2012
Regional officials have started the reconstruction work on the Caribbean
Football Union, with the appointment of three new committees, one of which includes Jamaica Football Federation General Secretary Horace
Reid.
A press release from the regional body yesterday stated that the Normalisation Committee selected under the guidance of the sport's world governing body, FIFA, has formed three new working groups until the CFU Congress in May.
The CFU is trying to rebuild its image which was badly tarnished last year, following the cash-for-votes scandal that brought down its former president, Austin 'Jack' Warner, and led to either suspensions, fines or reprimands for several other top regional officials.
