Bravo and Pollard looking forward to playing in BPL
January 25, 2012
Trinidad’s Bangladesh Premier League exports Kieron Pollard,
Dwayne Bravo, Lendl Simmons and Kevon Cooper will be available for T&T's first match of their regional four-day campaign against CCC, which bowls off next week Friday at 3Ws Oval.
Last week, Simmons, Bravo and Cooper were picked up by Chittagong Kings in the BPL auction, while Pollard was snapped up by Dhaka Gladiators after which the chairman of selectors warned the T&T players that they risk losing their place in the national team if they opt to play in Bangladesh.
But that warning seems to have done little to deter the players.
On their return from Barbados on Monday night with the Caribbean T20 trophy, Bravo and Pollard told the media they were looking forward to playing in the BPL.
Ramkessoon and his fellow selectors have until Friday to select the T&T squad for next week's match.
